State Representative and CD6 Congressional candidate Joe Miklosi has been moved up into the Democrat Congressional Campaign Committee's (DCCC) Red-to-Blue program. The news comes only weeks after major Democrats not from Washington, DC defected from Miklosi, hosting high dollar fundraisers for GOP incumbent Congressman Mike Coffman.

Miklosi and his campaign have been the butt of more than a few jokes in political circles the last couple of months. Whether it was Miklosi trying to add motorcycle bikers to a list of protected classes in Colorado, getting called out for ditching his legislative district to move into CD6, or watching Democrat mega-donor Steve Farber defect to Coffman, no one has really taken Miklosi seriously.

A few months ago, Miklosi's campaign was so pathetic even Colorado Democrat's mouthpiece Colorado Pols said "his campaign is all but over now."

With Miklosi's seat now listed as a takeover possibility for Democrats, Speaker John Boehner can breathe a sigh of relief. If Miklosi is part of Democrats’ path to power, they're not going anywhere.

But all hope is not lost. There are some on the far left margins of the political spectrum who still think there is a real race in CD6, kind of like the Japanese soldiers on Pacific islands who didn't realize WWII was over.

Miklosi's number one left wing super fan, Nancy Cronk of Colorado Progressive Outreach, immediately issued a breathless statement saying the DCCC moving Miklosi into the Red-to-Blue program was because "Joe's team has surpassed standards for aggressive fundraising, effective organizing and competent infrastructure."

Aggressive as in Miklosi raised less per quarter than any other targeted seat in the country. Only in the affirmative action world of Democratic politics can you be called "aggressive" and in last place.
